In this work, the artist sought to portray a beauty with a softened, timeless face, a beauty understood not only as aesthetics, but above all as love, compassion, and justice: virtues through which true beauty can save the world. The young woman, gently placing her hand on the head of a lion, a symbol of strength and royalty, manages to tame it. The lion, in turn, effortlessly restrains a serpent, symbol of evil and temptation. The interaction among the three elements, the woman, the lion, and the serpent, reflects the eternal struggle between good and evil.The globe beneath them represents the fragility of our world, but also the power of beauty and its virtues in maintaining balance. In an age marked by conflict and division, this vision of harmony reminds us of the importance of cultivating what is truly good and pure.

The painting was first created on a wall using lime, sand, and natural pigments. The pictorial layer was then detached from the wall and transferred onto canvas using the calico technique. Finally, the work was restored with silver leaf and a unique natural method developed by the artist, allowing the image to re-emerge three‑dimensionally on the canvas and giving it the appearance of an ancient painting. For the restoration, silver leaf treated with natural shellac was used.

In quest’opera, l’artista ha voluto rappresentare una bellezza dal volto sfumato e senza tempo, intesa non solo come estetica, ma soprattutto come amore, compassione e giustizia: virtù attraverso le quali la vera bellezza può salvare il mondo.
La fanciulla, posando delicatamente la mano sulla testa di un leone, simbolo di forza e regalità, riesce a domarlo. Il leone, a sua volta, tiene a bada con facilità un serpente, simbolo di male e tentazione. L’interazione tra i tre elementi, la donna, il leone e il serpente, riflette l’eterna lotta tra il bene e il male.
Il globo sottostante rappresenta la fragilità del nostro mondo, ma anche il potere della bellezza e delle sue virtù nel mantenere l’equilibrio. In un’epoca segnata da conflitti e divisioni, questa visione di armonia ci ricorda l’importanza di coltivare ciò che è veramente buono e puro. Il dipinto è stato realizzato inizialmente su una parete con calce, sabbia e pigmenti naturali. Successivamente, la pellicola pittorica è stata staccata dalla parete e trasferita su tela con la tecnica del calico. Infine, l’opera è stata restaurata con foglia d’argento e una tecnica naturale unica, sviluppata dall’artista, che ha fatto riemergere l’opera tridimensionalmente sulla tela, conferendole l’aspetto di un dipinto antico. Per il restauro è stata utilizzata foglia d’argento trattata con gommalacca naturale.
